- office and other work space - designed to support specific activity. (Suitable colour combination is different for a call centre than an accountant's office or an operating theatre)
- commercial interior colour - appropriate schemes designed to support the activity aimed for them (sale or exhibition of goods,etc) could substantially enhance the desired outcome (e.g. increased sale)
- hospitals, social services - certain colours could evoke positive psychological outcome that helps healing and finding internal balance
- schools, nurseries, libraries - right selection of colours could aid concentration, stimulate desire to seek knowledge
- restaurants, hotels, design of interior with targeted use of colours and materials
- sport stadiums, gymnasiums - certain colour combinations support performance, concentration, support physical activity
- corporate colours - carefully selected colour combination could strongly support the corporate message of an enterprise. People subconsciously decode messages held by colour and , based on that, have certain expectations and assumptions about a firm, what it offers and what it stands for
